Seeing as I've been a bit quiet with the show recently I thought I probably owed you guys an explanation!
The 'In Session' show was part of the weekend schedules at Cheshire FM, which as of February this year ceased to broadcast due to financial constraints. Everyone involved with the station was gutted that we couldn't continue, especially everyone at the Friday and Saturday night Dance Sessions.
Whilst Cheshire FM really helped get my show off the ground and keep it going every week, I know there was also a strong online audience, with excellent weekly download figures for the podcast. I very much wanted to keep the show going for you guys, but at this stage in my career I felt the time and effort involved in putting the show together every week (it's a lot!) outweighed the benefits.
The biggest advantage of doing the show all along (all of us were working for free) was the exposure and promotion for me as a DJ, but now I'm moving more towards my work as a music producer and mix engineer and less as 'Christian Davies the DJ', I need to focus on what's going to push those aspects to the next level.
Finally I'd just like to say a big thank you to everyone who tuned in over the last 2 years and supported the show - we couldn't have done it without you all!
